ASHRAE 2016 Student Design Competition Results
Eight countries participated in the ASHRAE 2016 Student Design Competition and Region XI was well represented in the list of top finishers!
The first place team in the HVAC Design Calculations category was from the University of British Columbia. In this category students were challenged to select systems for a government building in Beijing, China.
The University of Regina team claimed the first place position in the Applied Engineering Challenge which included an energy audit and mechanical system design for Little Souls Daycare at Souls Harbour Rescue Mission.
California State Polytechnic University won the System Selection category while the University of Central Florida took first place in the Integrated Sustainable Building Design category.
