Region XI 2015 CRC CTTC Awards
Thank you to all the CTTC/Programs Chairs for the 2014-2015 Society Year for your hard work, resulting in a successful year of programs. I would like to take a moment to highlight the Region XI CTTC Awards winners that were announced on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Region XI CRC Awards Banquet in Calgary.
L.O. Crooks Refrigeration Award – to encourage excellence in Refrigeration activities and to promote interest in Refrigeration at the Chapter level. MARK SZILARD, BRITISH COLUMBIA CHAPTER.
Winston Award – to encourage and recognize excellence in Chapter Programs. DAN BROTHERS, REGINA CHAPTER.
Region XI Technology Awards – we received submittals from 5 out of 12 Region XI Chapters for a total of 9 submittals. First Place winners are eligible to apply for the Society Technology Awards due to Society by September 1, 2015. Heric Holmes, the incoming Region XI RVC CTTC, will send out further details to all Region XI First Place winners in the near future.
Ralph Robson Technology Award – to recognize the best overall winning entry amongst all the categories in the Regional Technology Award Competition. KEN ARTHUR WARREN, LANNY FLYNN, KEVIN KEITER, JAMIL ALJASIR – SEA-TAC AIRPORT PRE-CONDITIONED AIR (Puget Sound Chapter).
First Place New Commercial Facilities – TOM J. MARSEILLE, JOEL SMITH, BENJAMIN GOZART – THE GREENFIRE CAMPUS (Puget Sound Chapter).
First Place New Educational Facilities – RICHARD LAY, TIM DIETRICH, VICTOR HALDER, DUDLEY THOMPSON – NORTHLANDS PARKWAY COLLEGIATE (Manitoba Chapter).
First Place New Educational Facilities – RUSSELL LAVITT – RICHARDSON COLLEGE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT (Manitoba Chapter).
First Place Existing Health Care Facilities – TRACI ANNE HANEGAN, ED LANGEBARTEL – ST. LUKE’S REHABILITATION INSTITUTE (Inland Empire Chapter).
First Place New Industrial Facilities or Processes – KEN ARTHUR WARREN, LANNY FLYNN, KEVIN KEITER, JAMIL ALJASIR – SEA-TAC AIRPORT PRE-CONDITIONED AIR (Puget Sound Chapter).
First Place Residential – JONATHAN M. HELLER, SHAWN ORAM, MORGAN HEATER, CARMEN CEJUDO – STACK HOUSE APARTMENTS (Puget Sound Chapter).
Second Place New Commercial Facilities – DAVID RUSSELL CLARK – MOSAIC CENTRE FOR CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY & COMMERCE (Northern Alberta Chapter).
Second Place New Educational Facilities – MARK YEUNG – NORMA ROSE POINT SCHOOL (ACADIA ELEMENTARY) (British Columbia Chapter).
Second Place Residential – JIM MICHAEL ROGERS – ORTC TRANSIENT BARRACKS (Inland Empire Chapter).
